This project will never be a finished product - as one question is answered another one is formed and the process continues. As information becomes available to me from various sources these pages will be revised; some will be changed, others added and/or replaced.

Before I embark on the project I must give my in memoriam thanks to Messers. Donato and Lenzi for the wonderful study they provided me for my old age, and to Mr. Gardel for introducing me to the work.

A very special gracias must also go to a friend and mentor, Joaquín Usubiaga of Pamplona, Spain (God grant him eternal rest) who many years ago recognized my love for this lyric and insisted I put my thoughts down in writing. It took me quite a while to follow his advice -- a 30-year career got in the way.

And last but not least, a special thank you to my friend Oscar Giovannini of Córdoba, Argentina without whose continued enthusiasm, encouragement and assistance this project would never have left the ground.

All errors, misunderstandings and misinterpretations are mine and mine alone
and I assume full responsibility for them.
